NEWS FROM THE FRENCH CORNER
Grade 8 FSF1D- Students were quite busy today with College Expo at SJA, and another group was at WE DAY in Toronto. Our class was reduced to 20 minutes and we discussed the expectations for the final project. Be ready to resume the unit on Friday.
Grade 11- FSF4U The new unit is about 'self' and the text selection was about being up-rooted from your country of origine, living in Canada, and then, returning 'home'. One author form Haïti and one from Quebec have tackled this sensitive subject. There was real discussion about personal experience on an international level.
Grade 9 FSF1D/FSF2D Because we were missing a few students to WE DAY, the 2 groups got together to work on passé composé, but with different levels of difficulty. The class ended with a game of connect-four. Great rivalry ensued!
Do not forget to work on your sentences!
Grade 10 FSF3U This group started to read about advertising in the food industry. Quite revealing and disturbing information. Students will complete questions and answers.
FSF2D Students answered questions about Les parfums. They must read and create strategies to read for comprehension. The grammar component was the relative pronouns qui/que. More practice on Friday.
