NEWS FROM THE FRENCH CORNER
Grade 6 The students corrected their homework and it was nice to see that a few students were creative with their questions and answers.
They started a cross word to review their vocabulary and if not completed, together with the word search, this is homework for Thursday.
Grade 7 Students continued working with the comparative and while correcting the homework, it was a great opportunity to review the lesson and begin to use the superlative. Homework p.80/81 don't forget to check if your adjective is in agreement with the noun.
Grade 8 Most of the students were involved with painting decors with Ms Kerr so that everything is ready for the Christmas concert.
Ms Chin also pulled students out to be ready for open house. These activities are vital for our whole community to function as a group.
The rest of the students watched Notre Dame de Paris, a large production on the Victor Hugo's novel. This musical is the product of Luc Plamondon, a Quebecois, and it enjoyed much success in Paris as well as around the world. This work was to complement the unit on monsters in films and the students were able to make parallels with the modern society and its outcasts.
Grade 9 The students had the period to work on their paragraph and jot down additional ideas for their position on perfume in society.
homework: have your paragraph ready for editing on Thursday. Presentation date is Dec.3
Grade 10/11 worked on their letter of opinion. Their rough copy is due Thursday for editing.
Presentations are on Dec. 1
