NEWS FROM THE FRENCH CORNER
Grade 6 There was a rather long assembly this morning and the students worked independently on their sentence activity sheet.
Several students told me this morning that for the first time they actually understand how to say large numbers in French by using place values and simple mathematics.
Grade 7 The students are working on vocabulary related to bizarre animals and insects. They really like this topic and are showing much enthusiasm. If their cross word is not completed by the end of the period, this is homework! The biggest task was to write 5 sentences that were true and 5 that were false using the vocabulary from the unit and making sure that the verbs were correctly conjugated.
Grade 8 They are reading independently yesterday's film history and completing a comprehension segments.
They also brainstormed monsters in film and their purposes.
Grade 9/10 have Tech this Friday
Grade 11 shared their recipes and reviewed all the grammar concepts introduced this far. There was a discussion about the chemicals put in our food, GMO, fresh versus frozen products etc...The students are very passionate
HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND EVERYONE.
